Sennheiser HD 58X Black Friday Deals 2021 headphones are excellent open-back headphones. These headphones are a collaboration between Sennheiser & Massdrop.
They can only be bought on the Drop website. They look very similar to the Sennheiser HD 600, and Sennheiser HD 650. These headphones are very comfortable and should only be used for listening to music.
They can’t be used for other purposes. These headphones don’t have as much bass roll-off as other Sennheiser open backs that we tested. However, they have a decent punch for open-backs.
Sennheiser HD 58X Black Friday Deals 2021–Discounts & Sales Offers
Sennheiser HD58X Jubilee headphones are open-back, critical listening headphones that offer the best value.
All of the construction is made from plastic. Along with stiff cushion pads, my old HD series discomfort issues still play a part in my life.
They are uncomfortable when first purchased or used for the first time. It takes time for the pads and headband to become softened. It is necessary to be used.
The clamping pressure on my head was too strong for me the first time it was used. The HD650, HD600, HD580, HD680, and my HD485 all suffered the same fate. You are your friend. Give it time to breathe.
Although the set creaks a bit too loud for comfort, it was not an issue with my Massdrop HD6xx. It stopped almost completely after just a few hundred hours of use. Similar issues will occur with the HD58x.
A headphone housing and headband made of all plastic is not something that I would like to see. Even if they are remaking it, I would prefer to see more metal and better materials.
We don’t have to go back to the 1990s or early 2000s when plastic was acceptable. It was time for a major upgrade. The drivers needed to be placed in a similar frame made from something other than plastic.
I don’t mind a rehash of the drivers or a driver update. I want the whole headphone to be overhauled and upgraded.
The HD58x and HD660s have almost identical sound characteristics overall, which I consider blood brothers. I believe there is a trick to the ear.
The HD58x has a little more bass volume than the HD6xx/HD650. The HD6xx/650 sounds thicker and more weighted but has a richer tonality. My ear sometimes thinks there’s more quantity than the HD58x.
The HD58x feels more natural but is thinner and less impactful on physical strikes. The HD65x is more wooly and has a much lower dynamic kick and impact. The HD65x is much more enjoyable to listen to than the HD58x for long periods.
The HD6xx is the best value overall for audiophiles in terms of raw fidelity. It can scale so well with better gear that it offers superior fidelity. For casual listeners without a high-end rig, the HD58x is a better choice.
It is evident on my Airist Audio Heron 5 Solid State headphones and when I directly compare the two headphones. The Heron 5 has a warm sound and perfectly matches the HD6xx.
They are both softer than normal on kick factor and have a thicker tone presentation. Both also have a nice sparkle in the treble.
The Heron 5 is not very forward and wider than it appears. The experience is radically different when you compare it to the HD58x. The HD6xx is, however, the scaling champion of the mid-tier world.
The HD6xx is a great choice if you already have a high-end amplifier or DAC at the Summit or middle tier. You will need it for the HD6xx.
The difference in bass quality between lower-end gear and higher-end gear isn’t significant. Sometimes it feels too close to decide which one is objectively cleaner. The HD58x Jubilee is very sensitive to bass boosting and has very low to moderate levels of bass volume.
This is a perfect choice if you like a forward-sounding midrange. The HD580/HD600/HD660s, and variants, are more forward than the HD6xx or HD650. This makes it a great choice for Jazz and Rock singers. Again, quality depends on what amp you use to scale up.
My HD58x Jubilee is subjectively cleaner than the HD6xx if you use a lower-end system. The HD6xx is a better quality amplifier and DAC. The HD6xx is polite, smooth, and has a heavier tonality due to its physical weight.
My older DT880, also from Beyerdynamic, is a better choice for sound type than the HD660s. It has a similar midrange purity and tone factor to the HD58x Jubilee. The HD58x is a dry sound that sounds well into the neutral tier.
It’s not as brightly colored and feels denser than the HD6xx. It is not as bright and dense as the HD6xx. These cups have large backplates with open-back grill grills.
Sennheiser HD 58X Black Friday Deals 2021– Buying Guide
The Sennheiser HD 58X Black Friday Deals 2021 has a matte black finish. The HD 58X has a glossy finish. Unfortunately, this makes it look a little less expensive and more fingerprint-prone.
The cups’ padding is made from a similar microfiber-like material, giving them a premium appearance. Despite being very low profile due to the color scheme they use, their elegant design is very striking.
These headphones offer exceptional imaging and separation for their price. It is as detailed as the HD 650, with a few small details that I struggled to see on these headphones.
